recipe: pinesang itlog (souped egg)

i love to eat and cook. so, i always stay in the kitchen to get the first taste on any food cooked by my mom. eventually, i learned some of them. and here's one: pinesang itlog

ingredients:

5 thick slices ginger
2 cloves garlic
1/2 bulb onion, diced
5 tablespoon fish sauce (patis)
1-3 eggs
pechay/dahong sibuyas
half liter water

directions:

suate garlic till brown. add onion and ginger. pour fish sauce and let sizzle. add water. let it boil for 5 minutes. add the vegetables. let it boil for 2 minutes. add eggs and let boil for few minutes till the eggs harden. serve and enjoy!

budgeting 101

to dig deep into envelope budgeting, i must simplify the term first. hence, i need to make sure i understand the word budgeting... budget. A budget (from old French bougette , purse) is a financial plan and a list of all planned expenses and revenues. It is a plan for saving, borrowing and spending - wikipedia so, basing from the definition, it can be simplified as... (income - expense = 0) where income is defined(in my own words) as any monetary device labeled with currency which was received and/or is available to be consumed by the calculated expenses. while expense is a calculation of how the income will be used. some might ask where saving lies in the formula. since, i believe that it is one of the elements of expenses, let me extend the formula to: [income - (saving +other expenses) = 0] i still have doubts on this calculations, though. so, any comments and suggestions are encouraged for a healthy discussion.

learning linux

i've always wanted to learn linux for years. but i'm still stuck with this crappy w!ndows v!sta - yes, v!sta. the crappiest of them all. and now that i have some time and a spare laptop to use, i managed to install ubuntu studio . why ubuntu studio? i just got fascinated with the programs it came with. the first thing i checked was if i could go online, wireless that is. sad to say, the browser couldn't fetch anything. fortunately, getting the laptop wired got me online. and that's one less trouble for me. now, the problem at hand is that there is no wireless connection. solution - search the web. i landed on ubuntuforums.com and found out that ubuntu studio doesn't install the gnome network manager which is like the "view available networks" on xp and "connect to a network" on v!sta. so, lets just install it. i mean, lets try to install it. next: installing a program in linux
