new rims for my ride

got a pair of this baby in blumentritt street in manila just the other day. it's a bit dirty but i know it's a nice find. just don't know from which car it came from. but judging from it, i bet it'll look good in my 86 lancer, just a little cleaning up will do the trick. i got it for 540 pesos pair, which i think is a good buy considering its condition. and, i would always opt for steel rims rather than mag alloys. gotta love those ol' school babies.

here's my friend dominic formulating a solution for the rusty rims. i gotta tell you this guy is good in every sense of the word. he help me cleaned my acquisitions. well, he did most of the work. but i did a lot too.

Mitsubishi recalls Lancer/Outlander in Australia

from caradvice.com.au There have been no reported incidents of the problem within Australia and the national recall is precautionary. The official recall posted on the Federal Government website says that “after starting, if the vehicle is only driven at low speed with minimal or no throttle opening, an increased brake pedal effort may be required on the first braking application because of the possibility of the brake booster check valve sticking.” MMAL is to write to owners of all affected vehicles although the company says there have been no reported incidents in Australia of problems with the brake valves. The 20,989 cars affected were all manufactured before December last year an the company will replace any defective parts at no cost to the owners. recalling 20,000 mitsubishi lancers and outlander because of brake problems is both very disappointing and satisfying for a lancer enthusiast like me. not to mention a mitsubishi fan. simple brake problems like this whould not happen a...

Contextual Stratification - Chapter 22: Living Stratified

After the Recognition You've seen it now. Reality stratifies across infinite scales. Knowledge requires multiple frameworks. There is no Theory of Everything. There's only the principle explaining why. Q=Fλ, Q⊆M isn't just an abstract meta-theory. It's a description of how things actually are. But understanding the structure of reality doesn't automatically tell you how to live within it. Knowing that you operate in multiple fields simultaneously—emotional and rational, immediate and long-term, individual and social—doesn't make navigating those fields easy. Recognizing that frameworks have boundaries doesn't tell you how to cross them gracefully. This chapter is about the art of living in a stratified reality. Not the theory of contextual stratification, but the practice of it. How do you make decisions when different frameworks give different answers? How do you hold beliefs firmly enough to act while lightly enough to revise? How do you switch between...
