a day in a life in makati - part 2

cont... after the early dinner we had in fridays, we ended up in the park near a church (imagine - a church near a mall...) i would say it's peaceful. it will take your mind out of the city life. a peice of nature, might i add. now before we headed home, the mall's extension - glorietta 5 got our attention. i remember the the old parking lot which was situated there. it is the best extension of the ayala mall i've seen yet. well, there's trinoma. but that's a different story.

a day in a life in makati - part 1

dec-20-2007 my wife i decided to go to makati to get the free bag given to credit card holder who purchased on a certain amount. yes - a free bag. hehehe!!! we took a cab on the way there. it's a nice cab with a quiet driver. the air-con's not that good though. there's no tint which makes you feel the afternoon heat. but i should say the driver is very professional, and polite too. one thing i noticed in makati, traffic officers are very strict. the downside is they don't have enough pedestrian crossings to follow their orders. not to mention the lack of proper signs and symbols that you'll end up fraustrated while your feet are aching because you've already searched everywhere for the comfort room. anyway, we got hungry and started looking for a place to eat. so, we decided the closest one stall will sufice - and it did. perks coffeehouse offered variety of their product which includes pizza, pasta and breads. i should say the cinnamon roll is fantastic, althou...

back to basics

it's been quite sometime since i performed musically. now, it's haunting me. i was a music student in the early part of this decade and now i'm one of the few who just want to live life to the fullest. it was a roller coaster ride from where it started and believe me it's one heck of a ride. the years are sinking in my thoughts as i wander in this uncertain route called life. but it's all worth it. getting dizzy now. i was talking to a bunch of new found friends discussing life while fixing the 93 corolla that we're fixing. (yup! i wreck one - but that's a whole different story.) we all got a few things in common - cars, music and living life. my only difference is that im older than them - way lot older. the good thing is i never felt it. it's not that big of'a deal. i don't even notice it when im with friends. (yes, they're around twenty's.) i feel the same inspite of everything. but all of it rushed down last night, filling my head wit...

box machine

here he is... it's been quite a while but it's good...very good. dominic got it to 130 km/h. and for an old engine it's very good. paint job is nice thought it still has one last buff to finish. also like the stance and the rims. can't wait to drive it again

new rims for my ride

got a pair of this baby in blumentritt street in manila just the other day. it's a bit dirty but i know it's a nice find. just don't know from which car it came from. but judging from it, i bet it'll look good in my 86 lancer, just a little cleaning up will do the trick. i got it for 540 pesos pair, which i think is a good buy considering its condition. and, i would always opt for steel rims rather than mag alloys. gotta love those ol' school babies. here's my friend dominic formulating a solution for the rusty rims. i gotta tell you this guy is good in every sense of the word. he help me cleaned my acquisitions. well, he did most of the work. but i did a lot too.

MMC EX Logo

i've been searching for this logo for quite sometime now. and i got tired of it. so, i decide to create one. took a snap at my lancer grill and with the use of trusty ol' photoshop, viola!!! i just don't know if there are still rights on this. as for me, it's free for every body. if you wanna design a shirt coz youre an old school mitsu fan, then be my guest...cheers!!!

recipe: pinesang itlog (souped egg)

i love to eat and cook. so, i always stay in the kitchen to get the first taste on any food cooked by my mom. eventually, i learned some of them. and here's one: pinesang itlog ingredients: 5 thick slices ginger 2 cloves garlic 1/2 bulb onion, diced 5 tablespoon fish sauce (patis) 1-3 eggs pechay/dahong sibuyas half liter water directions: suate garlic till brown. add onion and ginger. pour fish sauce and let sizzle. add water. let it boil for 5 minutes. add the vegetables. let it boil for 2 minutes. add eggs and let boil for few minutes till the eggs harden. serve and enjoy!

restoring an '86 gt lancer

i decided to restore our car after a year of driving it daily - well, almost. this bone maroon box machine is one mean machine. not that it's faster than the others, but it's definitely tougher. imagine a 100 km travel everyday for 8 months. i bet that would wreck your car. as of now, this baby will wear motorized fender mirrors, '82 gsr grill and a fresh paint job. nothing ricey, just a back to basic stock car. still hoping to get stock steering wheel ang 13" stock steel rims but they're still hard to find. i'll be posting more pics of bM(box machine is it's name) in the future, so stay tuned.

in search

this morning, my wife and i went to this protestant church. i won't mention the name of the church and please dont ask. we were catholic from the very begginng and we intended to stay that way although a lot changed since then. we are now in search for something that would make us grow spiritually, and not just go to a place every sunday, hear someone talk, give them money, pray a little and then go home. every so called religion is already doing it and we want more. when we entered their church, we felt a sudden change in the environment. it's like we don't belong there. it's our first time to see a church with an elevator and escalator. it could be that we were left behind or we stayed inside the catholic church too long that the customs were already embedded in our characters - how sad. so, now we'll take sometime to acustom ourselves to different religious culture or maybe read a little bit more about bible, religions, and god. a little soul searching will help ...

noobie!
